  • Dimmer remote, plus batteries
  • Quick start card with your specific sign's mounting layout
Before you start

Tools you'll want on hand

Tape measureTo center your sign and mark mounting points

PencilTo mark hardware positions on the wall

Drill or screwdriverFor wall anchors, if mounting into drywall

LevelOptional, but recommended for larger signs

Renting? No drilling required. Neon Aura signs are lightweight enough to hang with heavy-duty Command strips or hooks instead of wall anchors and screws, a damage-free option that comes off cleanly when you move. Just make sure to pick a strip rated for your sign's weight, and press firmly for the full recommended time before hanging.

Step by step

Installing your sign

01

Unbox and inspect

Carefully remove your sign from its packaging. Before mounting anything, plug it in briefly to confirm it powers on and looks right. It's much easier to flag an issue now than after it's on the wall.

02

Choose your spot

Pick a flat, indoor wall within reach of a power outlet. Hold the sign up (or use painter's tape to mark its outline) to check placement and height before committing to marks.

03

Mark your mounting points

Use your sign's quick start card to find the exact spacing of its mounting points, then mark those spots on the wall with a pencil. A level helps keep everything even, especially on wider signs.

04

Install the wall anchors (or skip drilling entirely)

If you're mounting into drywall, drill small pilot holes at your marks and insert the included wall anchors. Renting or don't want to drill? Heavy-duty Command strips or hooks work great instead, just line them up with the same mounting points and skip straight to hanging. Mounting into a stud or tile may not require anchors either.

05

Hang your sign

Attach the mounting hardware to the wall first, then carefully hang the sign onto it. Have someone help hold larger signs steady while you secure them.

06

Plug in and test the remote

Connect the power adapter to an outlet, then use the included remote to turn your sign on, adjust brightness, or set it to a timer if your remote supports one.

By backboard style

Mounting hardware depends on your sign

Cut to Shape signs mount using small clips positioned at natural pinch points around the letter outlines, wherever the backboard is wide enough to hold a clip securely. Space these evenly using your quick start card, since spacing varies by design.

Square Acrylic signs mount with four standoffs, one near each corner of the rectangular backboard. This is the most straightforward style to hang and level, since the mounting points form a simple rectangle.

Invisible Shape signs use clear standoffs positioned behind the design so they blend into the wall. Because the mounting points are less visible, take extra care to follow your quick start card's spacing exactly before drilling.

Safety and care tips

Indoor use only. Signs aren't rated for outdoor or wet-location installation.

Use the included adapter. A different power adapter can damage your sign and isn't covered under warranty.

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe gently with a dry cloth; avoid liquid cleaners near the wiring.

Give it breathing room. Avoid mounting directly against curtains or fabric that could block airflow.

Turn it off when you're out. LED neon uses very little power, but it's still good practice not to leave it running unattended for long stretches.

Confirm your anchors. For heavier or larger signs, make sure wall anchors are rated to support the sign's weight.
